Solar Energy Systems – a brief overview The solar energy market can appear to be a very confusing place, but in truth for the end user it is not that complex. The UK Government have committed to decreasing our dependence on fossil and nuclear fuels and have legislated a feed in tariff “FIT” sometimes called energy cash backs. That became effective 1st April 2010. This obliges energy companies to pay a premium price for the energy generated, for all energy produced by a solar system, whether it is used at the property or exported back to the grid.
